Christmas Greetings from the HCHC President
My dear friends and proud fellow members of the Greek community in America,
I am sending you warmest Christmas greetings on behalf of everyone here at Hellenic College Holy Cross.
Our dedicated administration and staff, our distinguished faculty, and our wonderful students from every corner of the globe make this a very special place, a unique place. Perhaps you know that already. Maybe you or someone you know graduated from Hellenic College or Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Your parish priest almost certainly trained for his lifelong vocation as a seminarian here. Maybe your son or daughter or another young person in your life attended our CrossRoad Summer Institute.
What you may not know is how much we love hearing from you and encourage your visits to our beautiful campus overlooking the Boston skyline. The Greeks invented hospitality and, of course, had a word for it: philoxenia—literally, love for the stranger. There are no strangers at Hellenic College Holy Cross, only friends old and new. Come visit us, come worship with us, come see what makes this school such a special place to enrich both mind and spirit.
As we prepare to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord, for whom there was no room at the inn, please know that there will always be a warm welcome for you here in His name.
Merry Christmas, my friends, and a happy, healthy, blessed New Year to you all!
