Hellenic College Holy Cross, in association with Repower Greece, recently hosted an open discussion event entitled "Redefining Greece by Restoring its Credibility."
Alexandros Costopoulos, founder of Repower Greece, gave an engaging presentation followed by a question and answer session. The event, organized by Dr. Stamatia Dova, Associate Professor of Classics and Modern Greek Studies at HCHC, was part of a series of academic discussions at twelve different schools from Washington, D.C. to Boston, including Harvard, Yale, MIT, Georgetown and Columbia.
Well-attended and thought-provoking, the event enabled speaker and audience to exchange ideas and share views on how to create new opportunities for growth in Greece while dispelling the notions of inadequacy connected with the country's international image.
Repower Greece is a non-profit organization that seeks to confront negative perceptions of Greece by showcasing success stories from the domains of Greek economy, education and civil society that provide clear evidence of the country's achievements and the talents of its people.
