Dr. Chrysostomos Stamoulis to Speak at HCHC

Dr. Chrysostomos Stamoulis, a distinguished and widely known Professor of Dogmatic and Symbolic Theology at the Department of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, will return to Hellenic College Holy Cross as a visiting scholar and guest lecturer January 29 - February 9, 2018.

His visit will include guest lectures in Hellenic College's Community Engagement class and Holy Cross' Social Ethics class. ​​Additionally, he will give the homily at Vespers on January 29 in honor of the Three Hierarchs, and a keynote address the following day entitled "Reception and Change: The Mystery of the Transfiguration in the Three Hierarchs."

Dr. Stamoulis will conclude his visit by giving the keynote address at the St. Photios Faith & Learning Symposium on February 3, which is an event geared toward Boston-area college students and young adults.

Dr. Stamoulis is particularly interested in the intersection of theology and culture and has published widely in this and many other areas. Additionally, he undertook musical studies at the Macedonian and State Conservatories in Thessaloniki. He is principally engaged in choral music and composition and has made 5 CDs.
