Hellenic College General Education Student Learning Outcomes

Students graduating from Hellenic College will complete a general education curriculum, by the end of which they will be able to: 

  1. Demonstrate transferable applied skills of critical thinking, oral and written communication, and information literacy.

  2. Demonstrate transferable analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to apply knowledge and competences in various settings.

  3. Show evidence of engaging the complexity, diversity, and significance of intellectual, cultural, and religious contributions in varied contexts.

  4. Demonstrate self-awareness, competence, and professional integrity in a specific field of study.

  5. Demonstrate knowledge of the Orthodox Christian tradition in its broad cultural, liturgical, and theological expressions.

  6. Apply intercultural knowledge, ethical reasoning, and faith-based learning to new settings, complex problems, and vocational choices.

  7. Describe strategies for learning about and participating with diverse communities.

  8. Define strategies to address societal issues and to contribute to the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of all people.
