Bequests

The Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology has benefited from many supporters who have included the School in their testamentary plans. In doing so, they support our vital mission of educating men and women in an Orthodox Christian environment. This education integrates Faith and Learning and the importance of heritage and service.

Any type of property both large and small -including cash, securities, real estate, works of art and jewelry, among others, may be given to Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology through your will.

Your generosity will assist us in sustaining the universal values of both Orthodox Christianity and Hellenism in an environment which encourages teaching and learning, scholarly study and research, social interaction, worship, intellectual growth and spiritual fulfillment.

Types of Bequests

  • Specific Bequest - This may be a specific dollar amount, a specific piece of tangible or real property, or a stated percentage of your estate.
  • Residuary Bequest - This includes all or a portion of your estate after other specific bequests, debts, taxes, expenses and fees have been distributed.
  • Contingent Bequest - Under this type of provision, Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology will only receive the bequest if the primary intention cannot be met or if certain specified circumstances take place.

Establish a Trust Under Your Will

You can also establish a trust under your will that provides income support for family members and friends. Upon termination of the trust, the proceeds can be distributed to Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology for its unrestricted purpose or for a specific purpose designated by you.
