Since this is a school for people of all ages to grow together in their knowledge and understanding of Orthodox Christianity, I feel that my education will allow me, with a solid foundation in my faith, to share with the world the profound message of Christ. It is through this sharing that the school will bring about a brighter future for those who receive the message.
I feel as though what I am doing is for the common good of both the Church and society, but to ask what its impact will be is impossible. All I can offer is my hope that I can give to the world the love that God has so graciously bestowed upon me though I am unworthy of it. I pray that my works benefit the world in some way, but more importantly I hope that the world will be able to see the light that is Christ, for it is for the common good that He has come into the world. Upon receiving this, I pray that the world becomes more open and loving to one another.
Coming into this school, I was unsure about what I was supposed to be doing. I came seeking what God had called me to be. Over this pat year I have realized with the help of Hellenic College and Holy Cross that only time will tell what I am called to be. All that I can do now is take my life living each day in Christ, which the wonderful ting about HC/HC. It provides the perfect location for spiritual growth. The professors, the chapel, and the community have allowed me to grow not only on a personal level, but also, dramatically, on a spiritual. With the close of my first year I am for the first time in my life counting down the days until I return to school.
