Faith and Learning Symposium 2010

As the only Orthodox Christian undergraduate institution in the Western Hemisphere, Hellenic College welcomes students from Boston-area campuses to its annual St. Photios the Great Faith & Learning Symposium sponsored by the Office of Vocation & Ministry. This year’s symposium will take place Saturday, February 6^th in the Reading Room of the Archbishop Iakovos Library and Learning Resource Center on its Brookline campus.

This year’s keynote speaker is His Grace Bishop Savas Zembillas of Troas, who will address the theme, “Christ and Culture Revisited: Against? Transforming? Other?” His Grace Bishop Savas is the Director of the Office of Church and Society for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. 

The symposium is open to local area college students and provides a unique opportunity for students to meet and discuss the challenges they face living their faith while in school. Members of the greater Orthodox community are also welcome to attend. The Symposium will begin with Orthros and Divine Liturgy at 8:00am in the Holy Cross Chapel with brunch, Keynote lecture and discussion following at 10:30 am in the Reading Room of the Archbishop Iakovos Library. Registration is free and brunch and refreshments are provided.
