Holy Cross Dean Attends Pope's Ecumenical Service in New York
The Rev. Dr. Thomas FitzGerald, Dean of Holy Cross, was among the select number of church leaders and theologians who were invited to the ecumenical prayer service led by Pope Benedict XVI during his recent visit to the United States.
The prayer service was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New York City on April 18, 2008.
Hellenic College and Holy Cross 66th Commencement Saturday May 17, 2008
The 66th Commencement will begin with services in the Holy Cross Chapel. Matins is at 7:30am followed by an Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios officiating. Commencement in the Pappas Auditorium will follow.
This year's recipients of Honorary Doctor of Humanities degrees are Michael and Mary (Spyros) Jaharis.
Cantonis Lecture Postponed
The lecture "From House to Church: Charting the Course of Artistic Transformations in Late Roman and Early Byzantine Art" by Dr. Christine Kondoleon, scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2008 has been postponed and willbe rescheduled for Fall 2008.
