Transportation

Air

Logan Airport is Boston’s airport, serving both domestic and international destinations, and is conveniently situated close to the city (ca. 20 minutes by car from HCHC campus). It is easily accessible by public transport and taxi. For more information, please see: http://www.massport.com/logan-airport/Pages/Default.aspx

Train

For those traveling from the Northeast, Boston is also easily accessible by train. Please see: http://www.amtrak.com/northeast-train-routes

The train station closest to the conference hotels is South Station.

Car/Driving

Parking at the conference hotels and in Boston city center is very expensive. Both hotels have valet parking and no self-parking is allowed. Participants driving to Boston may park their cars for the duration of the conference, free of charge, on the HCHC campus and make use of the coaches and mini-vans for transportation. Please register for a free parking permit, if you wish to park your car on campus. We regret that we will be unable to accommodate last minute requests for parking on campus as space is limited. Please note that there is no overnight free parking on-street in Brookline and the City of Boston. Pay particular attention to street signs to avoid being towed.

Free Coaches

Thanks to the generosity of the MJCBAC, transportation to and from one of the conference hotels (Hilton Financial District) will be provided for participants free of charge. The coaches will pick up conference participants at approximately 8am each day and return to the hotel at the end of each evening.

If you would like to use this means of transportation to the conference location, please select the relevant options during registration. We regret that we will be unable to provide coach transportation if this option is not selected during registration.

Public Transport

The Hellenic College Holy Cross campus is situated at a considerable distance from public transportation.

The T stops closest to the campus are: Brookline Village (Green Line) and Forest Hills (Orange Line). Please note that car, taxi, or walking (ca. 30 minutes one-way) is required to reach the campus from each of these T stops. A one-way ride by taxi from the Brookline Village T stop is approximately $7 excluding gratuity.

Mini-vans will provide free transport to the main T stops close to the campus throughout each day of the conference. A schedule will be available in your conference registration materials.
