OCF Student Advisory Board Meets

During the weekend of September 29 – October 2, 2005 the
Student Advisory Board of the
Orthodox Christian Fellowship met at the
Antiochian Village
for their fall meeting. The weekend coincided with the annual St.
Thekla and St. Raphael pilgrimage led by His Grace Bishop Thomas of
Oakland, providing many moments of spiritual refreshment for the group.
Nicholas Belcher ,
the Assistant Director of the Office of Vocation and Ministry, led the
students in a reflection on the twelfth chapter of the Epistle to the
Corinthians and a role-play activity utilizing what they learned about
themselves by taking
StengthsQuest.
Nicholas also led a discussion on the “Vocation of Leadership” using
clips from the movie Spiderman 2. The Student Advisory Board was also
made aware of
mini-grants from the office to
OCF
chapters interested in developing vocation programs on their campuses.
The weekend was a great opportunity for these student leaders to get to
know one another and to bond as a team.
