    The entire Hellenic College Holy Cross community has greeted with joy the announcement that the V. Rev. Joachim Cotsonis, PhD (Holy Cross 1979), Director of HCHC's Archbishop Iakovos Library and Learning Center, will soon become Bishop of Amissos. The official announcement, issued on November 27 by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, stated that His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, together with the Holy and Sacred Synod, welcomed the proposal of the Holy Eparchial Synod of our Archdiocese for the election of an Auxiliary Bishop to His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.   • George M. Cantonis Named New President of HCHC

    Upon the completion of a rigorous nationwide search process, the Board of Trustees of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (HCHC) announces with great joy that today, December 10, 2019, following the recommendation of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, voted to elect Mr. George M. Cantonis as the next President of the institution, replacing the Interim President, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston.  Subsequent to the decision of the HCHC Board of Trustees, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros immediately approved the election.   • HCHC Board Honors Past President Dr. Thomas Lelon

    Dr. Thomas C. Lelon, HCHC President from 1976-1986 and longtime Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, was honored at an elegant dinner in Dowd Hall on September 11. His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, Interim President, presided over the dinner, which was attended by members of the Lelon family and of the current Board.
