Liberal Studies

The mission of the Liberal Studies major is to provide students with the opportunity to respond to their unique vocations and pursue their own personal development in Christ. Liberal Studies is principally designed to provide an avenue for transfer students who wish to build upon their study elsewhere within the special spiritual and community atmosphere of Hellenic College, but whose earned academic credit does not match with existing Hellenic College majors.

“Pursuing a degree in Liberal Studies represents a strategically sound choice. Liberal studies offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education that cultivates lifelong adaptability and equips students with versatile skills essential for engaging with an increasingly complex, dynamic world. The program promotes a nuanced understanding of diverse cultures and ethical frameworks while providing the flexibility to design a personalized, interdisciplinary course of study aligned with individual interests. The curriculum offers a clear and efficient pathway to degree completion, enabling students to satisfy the 123-credit graduation requirement promptly. The Liberal Studies program exemplifies the adaptive, student-centered educational philosophy characteristic of Hellenic College.”
