    The second annual Inter-Disciplinary Senior Practicum Luncheon took place on May 9 and featured students from Hellenic College's Psychology & Human Development program and Business Management program. This year's luncheon featured presentations by graduating students about their diverse but equally powerful experiences in the professional settings where they have served this semester. Nicole Chetsas spoke about her work at the Theophany School, an Orthodox preschool and kindergarten. Diana Khalil and Kristen Karavantos-Love presented on their practicum at Bournewood Hospital, an acute psychiatric/addiction treatment facility.     Hellenic College Holy Cross President, Father Christopher Metropulos, DMin, announced his resignation today. “I was proud to serve HCHC for the past four years. I will forever be honored and humbled by the opportunity to have served alongside our terrific faculty, staff, and students,” said Father Metropulos.   • OVM Hosts CrossRoad Alumni Retreat

    The Office of Vocation & Ministry welcomed 65 CrossRoad alumni from across the United States back to campus on April 12 for a three-day retreat. CrossRoad is the OVM's very popular summer program for high school juniors and seniors wanting to engage more deeply with their faith and with other young Orthodox Christians. Since its first session fifteen years ago, CrossRoad has expanded to two annual sessions at HCHC and, as of last year, to a third session in Chicago.   • HCHC Students Lead Mission Trip to Kenya

    Dean and Xenia Franck, both in the Master of Divinity program at Holy Cross, were part of a team of HCHC students who spent their spring break in western Kenya. Dean had already been to Kenya a number of times and the couple spent two months there together last summer, an experience that gave them an idea. "After visiting St. Tabitha's Orphanage and School," Xenia explains, "we decided to organize a team to go do some teaching and build a chicken coop."     All HCHC seminarians, in both the College and the School of Theology, gathered for an overnight Lenten retreat March 29-30 at the St. Methodios Faith and Learning Center in Contoocook, New Hampshire.     On Monday, March 11, the Hellenic College Holy Cross community observed the start of Great and Holy Lent with a day-long retreat.
